I understand that MM automatically copies these values to the album artist fields, right? Or must I still do something to activate that? If it DOES copy it, it is handy for me: it saves me the manual cut and past actions to move x, y, z to the album artist fields.

Many (but not all cd's) are being imported in libraries with the performers in the artist field. If I add Mozart in the artist field of an album where the various tracks have various performers in the album artist field (track 1 sung by x, track 2 sung by y), then what happens?ģ. Easier to browse in tracklists, more logical display in the internal player and on iPod.Ģ. For classical music I want the COMPOSER to be displayed in the ARTIST field, coz that is most of the time more relevant than the composer. Works well, but still a lot of manual work to do:ġ. So every user has to create his purely individual workarounds to suit his needs. Hm, not completely clear yet what the consequences are for my database.Įspecially for the collection classical music, because none of all the music managers on the market seems to be able to handle that collection well.
